its 83 degrees outside and we're already dying from the heat. imma don't wanna know what this summer will be like!

*sigh* i miss phred

i do. i miss phred. its like ... i haven't even named this machine yet cos i still miss phred. but i guess its time to name him. yes, him. machines r male, yanno. so's the internet. they're up, they're down, they're up, they're down ... ya gotta keep tellin em how wonderful they are ... and if ur smart, ya sit there and anticipate what might go wrong cos the stupid thing is male and ya never know when its gonna go psycho on ya.

so i dunno. maybe hernando. see, hernando is sposed to be naturally bigger and faster than phred. cos phred ... phred was a first generation pentium ... u know, the ones with the built in alzheimers? yeah. n/m that phred could do schtuff that bigger and better machines couldn't. that's what ppl don't understand about machines ... they're male. ya just gotta know how to tweak em.

but hernando here ... yanno, the thing i liked about phred is that we shared great code. we didn't have to wade thru all this proprietary crud, like hernando. hernando may have been hatched bigger and faster than phred, but he's like an ID-10T chyld yanno? i can't go my speed cos it confuses him. its like having to train a new bf or something. sheeesh.

or maybe i should name him ferdinand cos i swear to god he stops and sniffs the tulips before he does anything. and i don't think i have the patience to train him.

SO not a geek!!

we're finally back home and i'm like ... grrrrrrrr time to set the record straight. i am SO not a geek. not even a geek wannabe. i'm like ... i dunno. but i'm not a geek or geekess or whatever.

its like, k sure ... i like software but i'm totally serious ... u can't be JUST a software geek. that's like imposing maximum speed limits on a good machine. it doesn't work that way.

or it shouldn't cos that would be criminal rofl

see, the way i figure it, real geeks totally zen the whole machine bit. a real geek could overclock without cooking the machine. a real geek knows .... u have to zen the hardware, man. and i don't.

k well, yeah, its true that i totally have withdrawal when i can't whack the keyboard. and yeah yeah yeah joshua knows how to make me smile (we could prolly spend hours kibitzing on machines) but seriously that doesn't count cos joshua isn't a geek either. cos like ...

real geeks, they BUILD their own machines, they don't buy em at officemax right?

so that settles it. i'm not a geek.

that said ... officemax has this cute lil machine i sooooooo wanna get cos i totally love the speed and the size. and the price is good till tomorrow.
