survival of three species

- this species has been designated at risk due to the difficulty of completing the courtship ritual. the species' intricate courtship ritual consists of long-term extensive surreptitious eye contact with little or no physical proximity. both male and female appear to follow elaborate stalking rituals, and were long suspected of being magnetized to identical poles since it would appear that they are magnetically repelled upon contact.
it has since been learned that physical proximity issues are indeed magnetic in nature, but that the presence of other members of the species are integral to their ability to achieve physical proximity. oddly, their courtship rituals are easily achieved through physical distance and, at a physical distance, the male and female of this species achieve intimacy. - this species has been designated endangered due to its rapidly dwindling numbers. the males and females of this species tend toward higher intelligence and creativity, repelling those of other, lesser species. in part due to the higher intelligence and creativity factor, both males and females of this species tend to experience far stronger reactions to their environment and form far deeper bonds.
the bonds this species forms with other, lesser affective species, tend to be transient in nature. bonds formed with other members of their species tend to be physical but platonic, members appearing to prefer a long-term mutual and deep kinship over the possibility of the angst of flame-out. - this species is one that has only recently been observed and is in process of being cataloged. males and females of this species appear to be vastly accomodating and subservient to the object of the courtship ritual. from observation, it is suspected that the massive subservience is a part of the courtship ritual and that this behaviour will undergo an equally massive shift to the other extreme once the courtship ritual is completed.
too little is known of the history of this species, as efforts to collect such information have met with a blank wall. observers believe there is an strong element of calculation in this, the extent of which is unknown. it is agreed that observation of this species is important to continue, as the possibility of its becoming a threat to other, native species, is a real possibility.

I would definately say number three. I mean think about it, if you're platonic, you can't exactly help the species continue on... at all. This is why little nuns and little fathers aren't born, they're selected and turned from a normal life... to a life of worship. If you're completely repelled by the oppisite sex, but do like staring at them... it's really hard to have sex to keep up the species.. i mean why do you think there are so few geeks in the world? male geeks and female geeks have such issues in those areas.
However, this last little tidbit sounds exacty like your typical SD gangstaa, and they definately dont have troubles reproducing. Therefore, it has to be number three!
